Anyone what to share their experiences?

I've received some emails from moms about this, and find I discuss it with friends, to compare notes...so I thought we might engage in a dialogue here.

I'm not a doctor...just a 48 year old perimenopausal mom.

Yes, please. I am reaching peri-menopausal age and I'm looking for web information and online advice: I would love to find an online forum focused on menopausal issues. Do you know of any other websites for women after 40 that I can check for tips, health info, medications feedback, gral advice, etc.? I am grateful in advance for your priceless answers (links, magazines, books, etc.). Thanks much!

I am perimenopausal too. The upside: my legs rarely need shaving, my hair is so dry I only need to shampoo once a week, and I spend very little on feminine hygiene products. The downside: I'm taken off-guard by the older, frumpier version of myself staring back at me in the mirror, I have hotflashes and trouble sleeping, and I occasionally turn into a monster around my husband. I wonder how he can stand me sometimes. I'm waiting for the moment when it dawns on my precious daughter that her mother is the same age as most of her peers' grandmothers. But I am so lucky to have her. It trumps everything else.
