We recently went to Mytle Beach and stayed at Dunes Village Resort, and I wanted to recommend it. Myrtle Beach has tons of cool stuff for kids, and this hotel has two indoor water parks. My son is 5 and had a blast. Something to consider if you're looking to get away. Reasonable rates.

Since we're only 5 hours from Myrtle Beach, we like to stay a little further south at Litchfield by the Sea. It's a little quieter.  It's a gated area, w/a private beach. They have different condo units you can rent with pools, work out areas, lot's of shopping (I love Broadway at the Beach!) Good post. We're planning to go to Myrtle beach. They say its beautiful and you confirmed it. Thanks.
