My son and daughter were both adopted domestically - they also have the same birth mother and are half-siblings. We are truly blessed!!

That is wonderful...Love4kids!
Do you find that since you've adopted, others in your social circle have interest in adoption? We have two couples/friends who adopted after we did, and it made us feel good.

We are foster parents so alot of our friends are also foster parents and alot of them do adopt if a child in their home becomes available.

I am an adoptive Mommy to a wonderful 4-1/2 year old daughter Ariel Faith. She was adopted via an open domestic adoption. I went through many failed fertility treatments and 2 pregnancy losses before adopting.
I look forward to getting to know other adoptive mommy's here!

Hi all, I'm new to this board. I have an adorable 3 1/2 yr. old son Matthew. He is a domestic open adoption from Texas. We also have a 6 yr. old who was conceived through IVF. We tried IVF 5 times and are very thankful that we were able to have Nicholas. Hope to get to know more adoptive moms! Marianne

Hi everyone! I'm mom to twins adopted domestically when I was (gulp!) 44 years old. I was told on a Tuesday morning that we'd been selected to parent these girls and that we had to pick them up at the agency the next morning (they were nine weeks old). Talk about a quick pregnancy! That was 6 years ago and there are days I still can't believe I'm a mom to twins. Tracy from Pennsylvania

I have a beautiful 5 year old son adopted domestically. Have been waiting for 2 years plus to adopt again. We had a disruption this summer. I hope to add to my family before I turn 45 in January!

Hi All, We are a prospective adoptive family, and we just got our home study approved in July! We are very excited, and are in the process of putting the final touches on our photo book for the agency. We also started a blog at http://babyadoption.wordpress.com where we can document our journey, share information and hopefully learn, too! Thanks! Ann
