SALUTE TO 35+ MOMS WEEK
May 8 – 14, 2011
Motherhood
is a
challenge at any age, and if you have young children when
you’re
35 or older, it can be quite an adjustment. This week is dedicated to
moms with more life experience than
baby experience.
Now, and throughout the year, it is empowering to connect with peers
and share the trials and tribulations that child-rearing may encompass
when you parent later in life.
Motherhood Later Than
Sooner gets a plug on NPR!
Talk
of the Nation, May 15, 2007 More
women are having kids into their 40s, 50s and even 60s due to
improvements in reproductive technology. The fastest-growing age group
for new mothers is 40 to 44. Which raises the question, how old is too
old to have a baby? Guests talk about what life is like for older moms
and dads, and what the different social, economic and emotional
pressures are. LISTEN
TO THE SEGMENT.

And just a few weeks ago, I was contacted by someone

near and dear to my heart (or should I say ovaries?) as I creep up on
the big 4-0.
