I’m Here! I’m Here!…by Liimu
So, it’s 8:23 and I am just now putting up my post. Whoever said that once you get past two kids it’s all the same … LIED. Three kids is hard – you’re outnumbered, blah blah blah. Four kids? CHAOS. At least in our house it is. And my husband and I both work from home and we have a sitter who comes in every day to help. The thing is, it just feels like there are more things to keep track of than we can comfortably fit in our brains. That’s the thing.
In other news, I have been a MACHINE as far as taking good care of myself. I have been diligently logging food, eating healthy, drinking water, working out once or even twice a day. (I have a wonderful hike that I love to do, so even though it’s a killer workout, it doesn’t really count for me and I often do that and go to the gym in the same day. So nyah.)
I haven’t seen a ton of movement on the scale, but you know what? Big friggin’ deal. I do feel like my body is getting tighter, and I know I am making wonderful, healthy choices. My blood pressure is excellent, my cholesterol is 170, I walk 5 miles a day and I get 8 hours of sleep. If that’s not healthy, I don’t know what is. And honestly, I would rather be big and healthy than one of those skinny heroin addict chicks that lives on cigarettes and diet coke and hasn’t exercised a day in her life.
I guess that’s a good thing, too. She’d probably rather be her than me so it all works out just fine. :)
