Organic Skincare: Healthful Pampering by Robin Gorman Newman
Periodically I like to blog about new products on my radar, as I never tire of trying out skincare.
I was recently introduced to a brand called Made from Earth.
This company in particular piqued my curiosity because I embrace their approach…..as they state…..
You will never find any chemical ingredients in our products, such as:
- Petrochemicals and Phthalates
- Parabens (Methyl, Propyl, Butyl)
- Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate
- Diazolidinyl Urea
- Mineral Oil
- Cosmetic Fragrance
I was sent an array of products, and this one I am still putting to the test, but I like the way it feels after you rub it in. Out of the jar, the consistency in on the thicker, pasty side, but when you spread even just a bit, it absorbs well as it gets to work. It does a good job making my skin feel smooth, though I wasn’t personally enamored of the scent. This is how they describe it….
Organic plant stem cells and botanical hyaluronic acid.

The Valencia Orange All Purpose Lotion smells amazing….very citrusy….and I love using it after the shower as a body lotion and on my feet and hands before I go to sleep. Great to know that it’s highly fragrant yet natural….and it’s become my luxurious-feeling, bedtime self-care treat. It is a potent concentration of Vitamin C, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter and Organic Beeswax, plus organic essential oils.
The Vitamin E and Citrus Body Gel is also highly scented and refreshing, and a welcome alternative to soap. Cleans well and feels stimulating on the skin. I like the foamy-ness and scent of lemon, lime and orange.
Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum — Boasts an impressive ingredient list of healthy healers. I squirt in my hand first and lightly rub it in. Skin feels smooth and it works well before makeup application.

This serum contains the powerful organic nutrients of DMAE, Vitamin A, B, C and E, and alpha lipoic acid. Our blended formula counteracts dryness that occurs in aging skin and increases skin’s moisture retention capacity. ProVitiamin B5 nourishes the skin, while the organic compound DMAE tightens and firms.
The serum contains two types of Vitamin A: Retinol Palmitate & Beta Carotene. Niacinamide is the biologically active form of niacin, which is also known as Vitamin B3. When combined, Retinol Palmitate (Vitamin A) and DMAE have been shown to have a firming effect on facial skin and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines.
The Skin Correcting Toner with Vitamin C — It’s not something I’d make a habit of using, and I didn’t love spraying it directly on my face, so I used a cotton ball. It did feel refreshing, and I’d apply it after I washed my face and before I moisturized.
These two below (Sea Kelp & Clay Correcting Mask and Tangerine Tingle) are not products I use….but I offered them to a teenage friend of my son’s who happily reported that they are helping to clear up her skin.
There is so much to be said for products that max out natural ingredients, and this is a brand to keep an eye on.
