I’m so sorry I haven’t posted here in a few weeks; I can’t believe that much time has gone by since my last post. I like to post close to the deadline to keep things immediate and fresh when I write them, but lately I’ve been forgetting to do so. My post is scheduled for Saturday afternoons, and the past few weeks, I think about it on Sunday — and by then someone else has taken their turn posting for that day, and it’s not fair to them to post on their scheduled day. Make sense? Anyway . . .

If a picture paints a thousand words, then here is one below of my son and I on his college move-in day. Yes, I shed a few tears when I hugged him good-bye, but other than that I did pretty well.
He stayed two weeks, and then came home for Labor Day. Brought NO laundry and NO suitcase. Hey, that’s David. He said he would do the laundry when he got back, and he did have lots of extra clothes at home. Still — I had even made sure the washer was empty and waiting for him to dump his dirty laundry in — quite a surprise not to have any to wash. I’m not sure I want to see his dorm room right now. Hope his roommate is hanging in there!
