A Brief Check-In By Jean Marie Keenan-Johnston
Hello ladies! I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I’ve spent the last few hours trying to get one or more of my wonderful ideas floating around my mind to start to take shape into an awesome blog entry. But I’ve learned the hard way that my mind just isn’t capable of that kind of thinking right now. I had surgery on Friday, and my thinking following the anesthesia has been incredibly foggy! It’s been quite an experience…I went into surgery with fibro fog that was exasperated by chemo fog some time ago. But the anesthesia from Friday has put me in a place that I haven’t visited since my days in chemotherapy. It’s been strange, scary, uncomfortable, annoying all at the same time. I’m starting to feel a little better, but I think the pain at my incisions is just too strong for me to get any good thinking accomplished.
But I didn’t want to just fall off the grid completely this week, so I thought I’d stop in, share a few hellos, and wish you all a great week! Hopefully by next weekend, my incision sites will be closer to healed and I’ll be able to share more details with you. Summer has almost reached its end, and my older daughter will be starting kindergarten in just a matter of days. So there will be LOTS to share with all of you in the months ahead!

Thank you Cara! I’ve missed you too!!! I’m finally doing better after my surgery…still some new fibro-related pains I never had that are now left over from the surgery. I’m hoping they go away and aren’t permanent so I’ll have to wait and see what happens. I’m glad to be back!!!!
