Book Lovers Unite! by Robin Gorman Newman
In addition to being the founder of MotherhoodLater.com, I’m also the author of two dating books HOW TO MEET A MENSCH IN NEW YORK, and HOW TO MARRY A MENSCH. Mensch meaning decent, responsible person.
When my books were first published, it was a total thrill, and I was active on the speaking engagement circuit and did many press interviews as a dating/relationship expert/Love Coach — check out my site LoveCoach.com.
Ever since, I’ve enjoyed visiting the annual BOOK EXPO AMERICA (BEA), when held at Javitz Center in NYC. I once attended when it was held in Chicago.
This year I had the opportunity to go with two author friends, and it was a treat to be there. The energy is infectious. I love perusing the many aisles chockful of books and more, and the opportunity to mingle with other authors and publishing industry folk. Sometimes there are fun celebrity citings and autograph and photo opportunities. (Check me out posing with two lifesize LEGO Star Wars figures.) Stay tuned for some inspiring guest blot posts on MotherhoodLater.com by authors of new parenting titles I scoped out at BEA.
This year I attended a wonderfully informative workshop delivered by Cindy Ratzlaff on the subject of Advanced Facebook Marketing. SO much to learn, and she was great at sharing and answering questions. Here’s her slideshow presentation, if you’d like to check it out.

If you love books and pop culture, this is the place to be. They also this year launched BOOKCON , another cool event held simultaneously at Javitz.
