Mary Gehl Fields

FullSizeRender (2)I’m Mary. I am 37, and I have three amazing daughters who I had ‘younger in life’. They are 13, 12 and 10.  My 12 year old has Asperger’s which lead me to teach life skills to children with Autism for several years.

My passions have always been children and animals. Through the years, before my divorce, I was able to stay home and spend a good amount of time volunteering. I was President of a local philanthropic organization, raising several thousands of dollars for those in need. I also found myself owning an animal related non-profit.  After my divorce, I started teaching children with Autism.

Two years ago, I met the man who would change my life and my perspective on love. Luckily, he fell in love with me and my girls. We are expecting (my fourth! his first!)
And boy, things sure are different this go around.

My 13 year old and 10 year old are over the moon with the prospect of a new sibling, and they love their stepdad. The 12 year old?  Well…she has her own opinions that she’s not afraid to express.

We reside in a suburb of Chicago. One very big, happy (most of the time) family.
