MOM-TESTED MOVIE REVIEW: FROZEN by Robin Gorman Newman
My son and I had the opportunity to participate in a NYC screening of the new musical animated Disney film FROZEN, and it’s a MUST SEE once it gets released later this month.
Funny, romantic, affecting, daring, with stunning 3-D visuals, this movie is pure eye candy.

FROZEN stars an impressive Broadway performer lineup — Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, THE BOOK OF MORMON’S Josh Gad, SPRING AWAKENING’s Jonathan Groff as well as Rodgers & Hammerstein‘s CINDERELLA prince Santino Fontana and Kristen Bell, who has appeared onstage and onscreen in musicals including THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN and REEFER MADNESS. All are great in this film!
The stellar score is by AVENUE Q Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist Robert Lopez with collaborator Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Powerhouse songs like”Let It Go” (sung by Ms. Menzel) are sure to be a mega hit! Ms. Mezel even sung a bit of it during the talk back following the film screening…a treat to hear her share about the experience making the film, and balancing her many endeavors with motherhood (she has a 4 year old son with husband/actor Taye Diggs).
Kids and adults will enjoy this delightful film!
Note: Thanks to The Moms and Samsung Galaxy for hosting the event.
