There is a new safer way to store and display your ring that’s easier and more attractive than stringing the ring on a chain – Emily C necklaces are chic ring holders that offer a convenient place to display your ring.  Emily C allows you to attach a ring to your necklace quickly and securely with one swift move – without unclasping or removing the chain.  It’s available in three designs and in sterling silver, yellow, white, and rose gold, as well as with diamonds.  It makes for an original maternity gift for women whose fingers are swelling.  It’s also convenient for exercising, washing hands or dishes, applying lotion, etc.

In the summer of 2011, Emily G married that wonderful man, and became Emily C.  She started asking engaged, married, and pregnant friends about what they did with their rings when they wanted to take them off, and found that all of them wished for a more elegant and practical solution.  She committed then and there to bringing her design to women everywhere, and called her new venture Emily C, in honor of the ring and the promise that started it all.

This is one of the most unique styles/function of jewelry I have yet to see.   It’s classy and beautiful even if worn without a ring!  I particularly like the scallop design (pictured above & below – with ring), and have worn it to the gym and was grateful to have it so I could take my ring off and not lose a beat or worry about misplacing it.  Makes for a special and memorable gift.

A pounding headache is something we have all had to deal with at some point in life. Whether you are stressed, suffering from allergies or a cold, stared too long at the computer screen or spent the day listening to the kids scream, a headache can sneak up out of nowhere.  Now there is an all-natural way to help yourself relax and ease tension. Designed in Sweden, The Halsa Pillow is an acupressure tool covered in 2,100 plastic spikes that work like an acupressure massage to release tension and pain-relieving oxytocin into the body to help alleviate headache symptoms.

Made of 100% cotton fabric, plastic spikes (ABS plastic), and foam core.  It comes in black, green and purple.

This is an easy, affordable way to experience the benefits of acupressure in your own home.  My son got a kick of this pillow, and I put it to good use as I endeavor to relax before bedtime.

Using minimal packaging and created to be esthetically pleasing, Mr. Canary Bird Feeders are created to blend with the environment and comes with seed already inside so there’s no guessing about what kind and how much.  Extremely user-friendly, you just take it out of the package, insert the perch and hang it up. Eco friendly, Mr. Canary Bird Feeders can be refilled or tossed in the recycling bin.

My son and I had fun setting this up and keeping an eye out for finches.  We are a bird-loving family, and bird watching and feeding has become a pastime we enjoy.  I love that my son enjoys and respects animals and birds, and this is a feel experience that we can easily share.

KleenSlate is a fun kid-friendly paddle that has a double-sided dry erase board allowing kids to doodle on them over and over again. It has a dry eraser marker with an eraser tip snapped right into the handle. The markers are non-toxic, low-odor, and the points don’t push in.  The markers and paddles come in different colors and shapes, and my son put his paddle to good use doing his math homework this week.

These are fun and handy, and convenient for travel as well.  The paddles even have sheets with handwriting lines, great for kids to practice writing on the go.

Everybody knows improvisation is fun—but do you know that even the best improv masters struggled to learn?Long-Form Improv: The Complete Guide to Creating Characters, Sustaining Scenes, and Performing Extraordinary Harolds (Allworth Press, September 2012) teaches the popular form of improvisation that serves as a foundation for the comedy stylings of many of today’s top actors and comedians, like Robin Williams and Chris Tucker. Internationally known long-form improv teacher, Ben Hauck breaks down various aspects of long-form improv into short chapters for swift, step-by-step intake of vital lessons.

Ben Hauck holds more than twelve years of experience as an internationally known long-form improv teacher, performer, and student, as well as more than twenty years of experience as a professional stage and screen actor. In 2007–2008, he developed and directed an extensive full-scale corporate improv training program exclusively for a multinational consulting firm, teaching the firm’s software engineers to perform long-form improv for audiences in New York City, Toronto, and London. From 2002 to 2006, he was the exclusive coach for the improv comedy group known as Devil’s Dancebelt. He lives in New York.

I’ve always been a fan of improv.  Years ago I took an improv class in NYC, and found it fun and challenging.  This is a cool, well presented book, and it’s something that kids might enjoy partaking in as well.

  2. I bought the Halsa Swedish pillow for myself a couple months ago and love it! The little prickles on it are terrific in stimulating blood flow to an uncomfortable area, thus helping you relax and reduce pain! I have the purple one to match my bedroom!

  3. We have been using the KleenSlate Dry Erase Paddles at our school, Whited Santa Rosa, for 3 years now. We are seeing a dramatic increase in test scores and savings in paper, plus the kids beg to use them. I love how easy they are to clean up-especially with the new microfiber cleaning cloths they just added to their line.
Thank you KleenSlate for giving us a tool that makes a difference!
