Vitamins For This Later Mom By: Lori Loesch
I started taking vitamins before I got pregnant with my daughter. A friend of mine from church sold Shaklee Products, and I started taking Shaklee Vitamins. It must have worked, because I had a baby at 42 years of age. My friend joked that, my daughter was such a calm baby, that she was a “Shaklee” baby.
I find myself back at the vitamin stage. I stopped taking them after I had my daughter. I am very low in vitamin D. I did a blog about the overcast skies in Central Pennsylvania. I guess it really matters how much sun we get in a day. Vitamin D cannot be gotten just from your food source, the sun is a crucial part.
I’m getting back on the vitamin train. Multi, D, K, the B’s, and C. I think I have all of them. My new doctor said that I shouldn’t take E. So that’s one less pill to swallow. I feel like I’m drowning in water, however I do get my daily intake of water, this way. It’s all good.
I can’t wait to start my new vitamin routine. I need to exercise, and start a diet that is lower in fat. I have high cholesterol, as well. I’m hoping that more exercise, I walk my German Shepherd,…well…I…lolly gag, with my German Shepherd! Stopping to look at birds, or plants, snakes, or whatever, will give me energy. I have heard that if you are feeling sluggish, exercise can get you moving. I think I’m going to dance. I love it, and music makes me feel good too. I just hope I can squeeze it into my schedule.
