Prescriptions for Life on an Even Keel by Pamela Francis

I never wanted to be a doctor. Or a nurse, for that matter. Or even a psychotherapist. When I dispense my “healing advice” there’s no appointment necessary, no copay, no danger of an ensuing malpractice suit. You can take it or leave it and I won’t badger you about when’s the last time you… And why haven’t you… And I bet you’re not even…

None of that. In fact, I’m so laissez-faire, some might even accuse me of being “suppressive” of good information. When I was a very active Scientologist — back in the Tom Cruise’s kids and their pet squirrel are in my office right now days — I once was asked, while “strapped” to an e-meter, if I wanted others to know about the gains I was making in Scientology. Like, did I want all of mankind to be privy to “the secret” that Scientology works. And I’ll admit there was a pause that made the needle move indicating that I might like to keep that under wraps. Which would make me, what? a bad person? Or at the very least, sinister LOL.

But again I don’t think it’s really that deep. I think I’m just a fan of the “winsome” approach to sharing a good thing. Simply put, if you like the vibe you’re getting off me, and you’re curious about it… I don’t know… sniff around my email list or something. There you will find the band of merry men (and women) that keep me on an even keel.

Today, with the deep need for calm, centered, hope-engendering mindsets and behaviors, I’m eager to share what has helped me in times of tremendous uncertainty and stress to continue to be a middle-aged mom to minor children, a long-time homeschooler, an oldest child/daughter to a stubborn septuagenarian, and a mindful Momtrepreneur.

So here they are. My prescriptions for life on an even keel. At 52. With a 17-yr old son and a 10-yr old son.

Symptom: When my mind starts trying to unravel my faith and trust in the Divine All is Well
Rx: Chris Cade. Chris Cade runs an online store called the Miracle Store and I’ve been doing his version of A Course In Miracles (ACIM) for a little over 200 days now. If you’ve always wanted to do A Course In Miracles (which I have) but always found it daunting or elusive… you may find his daily emails very manageable and awesomely uplifting.

Symptom: When I need help lifting my vibration
Rx: Michael Beckwith. Michael Beckwith is the founder of AGAPE Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, California. It is a phenomenal trans-denominational congregation (trans meaning stretching across all faiths) whose services can be live-streamed on Sundays and Wednesdays. While his message can be a little heady… it is sooooo worth trying to figure out and absorb. You can quite literally find yourself floating on air even if you didn’t understand a word he said.

Symptom: When I’m tossing and turning in the night
Rx: Davidji. I discovered Davidji on Hay House Radio.com back in 2015 when I was “living” in Sandy Springs, GA. What a serenity-magnet! I LOVE him.

Symptom: When I need motivation to keep pursuing my dreams
Rx: Jennifer Grace, Mary Morrisey, and newly… Dean Graziosi. Google or FB any of these powerful mentors and jump onboard whatever online course they’ve got going. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve manifested several goals under Jennifer Grace, slid comfortably and solidly into a very transitional phase in my life under Mary Morrisey, and am currently keeping the procrastination and stagnation zombies at bay under Dean Graziosi. Good stuff!

Symptom: When I want to stay on the Gratitude frequency
Rx: Natalie Ledwell. Maybe it’s her delightful Australian accent, but Natalie’s voice in my ear every morning during her Rich With Gratitude System sends me on wings of bliss and kick-starts my days with passion and purpose.

Symptom: When I want something actively soothing and empowering to listen to
Rx: Karl Moore. Karl Moore sends me these amazing hypnosis and subliminals audios that I truly believe have been reshaping my thought patterns and behaviors for years and I haven’t paid more than .99c for any of ‘em.

Symptom: When I want smart advice of the tough love variety
Rx: T. Harv Eker. This guy has been “goading” me with his borderline smugness for years about how to stay away from being broke and wade in the millionaire mindset. I really appreciate his sense of humor and all the great advice I’ve gotten from him and now his son Jesse who is following in dad’s footsteps.

Symptom: When I need peace
Rx: Deepak. My all-time fave, Deepak Chopra does a 21-day meditation program quarterly with Oprah much of the time. But I’ve been a fan of his since 1994 when I got introduced to “The Path to Love”. This man could save the world.
